Tuesday 3 December 2013

We went to Mapusa with our friend Alpesh, who was on his way there to get a new key. We got the bus as it was a hot day and its a long drive to Mapusa.

We headed straight to the key shop with Alpesh, who showed us how to walk across a busy roundabout.

We had a look round the market and got some food while we were waiting for the key.

Then we went back to the bus station.

We fancied a road trip so left after yoga on Friday after stopping at the petrol station.

We made our way to Panjim. We had to go on a road where you need helmets so we were all kitted out.

We stopped for a break on the way down when our bums were getting tired, but we moved swiftly on when a crowd started forming.

We got to Panjim and found place to stay with a good view over the river. We were expecting a bit of hotel luxury but neither the toilet or the shower were working.

We went for some food (Sev Puri) and a Chai, then went to see Bullet Raj at the cinema.

We had a look around the next morning before we hit the road again.

We passed through Old Goa but didn't stop, we had one thing on our minds, it was time to ride an elephant.

We also took a tour of the tropical spice farm. This is Rocky our guide explaining how Feni is made. It was really interesting, and to make it even better there was a bloke from Yorkshire going 'Ooo isn't that luvvly' every time he smelt something.
